East Aurora Attractions

Home to the Roycroft Campus, the art community of East Aurora was founded in 1895 by Elbert Hubbard. He was a leader in the American Arts and Crafts movement and went on to design a simple style of furniture that is still popular today.

Explore & More Children's Museum
Explore & More Children's Museum has exhibits and educational programs geared to children 10 and under. Big Feats is an area for infants, Building Curiosity offers pretend cement block and bricks to build with, and the Culture Corner highlights cultures of four different countries.

Millard Fillmore House
Millard Fillmore built this house in the early 1820's and lived in it with his wife, Abigail from 1826-1830.
Roycroft Campus
Roycroft Campus features nine public buildings and five private buildings. This handicraft community began in 1895 and includes the Chapel, the print shop, blacksmith shop, and the furniture shop.

Toy Town Museum
The Toy Town Museum features a permanent collection of Fisher-Price Toys as well as changing exhibits throughout the year. The exhibits include an interactive learning lab for children under 7. A theater, research library and reading area are also available.

Vidler's 5 and 10 Variety Store
Originally opened in 1930, Vidler's 5 & 10 store, carries housewares, toys and craft supplies. The store occupies 4 buildings that were built in 1890. Vidler's offers a nostalgic look to the days when this type of store was found in every town.
