Corning is recognized the world over for the glass products that are manufactured here. The main commercial district has been restored to its appearance in the late 19th century. The Spence Crest Nature Center is situated on 200 acres of wooded grounds and features nature trails and displays. Hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing and snow shoeing opportunities are available.
The Corning Museum of Glass has the largest glass collection in the world, featuring 45,000 objects, that span over 3,500 years. Daily glass blowing demonstrations occur at the Hot Glass Show and there is opportunity for visitors to create their own glass souvenirs.

The Painted Post Museum Complex is a collection of restored buildings that represent Corning's history. The buildings include a cabin, blacksmith shop, barn and schoolhouse - all furnished in 19th century furniture.
The Rockwell Museum is housed in a Romanesque revival brick building. It has various collections including Western paintings and sculptures, 2,000 examples of Steuben glass, antique toys and firearms. An interactive art room for children is available.
