Santa Rosa Attractions

Santa Rosa is the seat of Guadalupe County, and calls itself the City Of Natural Lakes. These bodies of water are popular with aspiring scuba divers.
Blue Hole
The Blue Hole is a geological phenomenon and scuba site in Santa Rosa. The thermally heated waters are 81 feet deep, 60 feet in diameter at the surface, and 130 feet in diameter at the bottom. Visibility in the clear water is up to 80 feet.
Park Lake Recreation Area
The Park Lake Recreation Area in Santa Rosa has a lake fed by a natural spring.
Perch Lake
Perch Lake is located on NM 91 near Santa Rosa. A twin engine airplane submerged 55 feet below the surface makes the lake a popular spot for scuba divers.
Rock Lake Rearing Station
Guests are welcome at the New Mexico State Trout Rearing Station in Santa Rosa. The facility has provided trout stocks for New Mexico's northeastern waters since 1984.
Santa Rosa Lake State Park
Santa Rosa Lake State Park is a reservoir on the Pecos River near Santa Rosa. The lake is stocked with bass, catfish and walleye as well as offering opportunity for water activities. A visitor center has exhibits on the history of the dam.

St Rose Chapel
The Old Saint Rose Chapel in Santa Rosa was built in 1879 by the town's founder, Don Celso Baca, and named for his mother Rosa.
