Southeast of Albuquerque is the Salinas Pueblo National Monument, which contains within its extensive area remains left by the Spanish conquistadors as well as the native Indian.
The monument covers a total land area of 1,100 acres, in three units: Quarai, Abo and Gran Quivira.

May 25 to September 3: 9am-6pm
September 4 to May 24: 9am-5pm
Always closed on: New Year's Day (January 1), Thanksgiving - USA (4th Thursday, November ), Christmas - Christian (December 25)
Tips: Leashed pets allowed on trails.
Stay on trails to avoid occasional rattlesnakes.
Collecting of materials is prohibited.
