Radium Springs Attractions
Radium Springs is located north of Las Cruces in southwestern New Mexico.
Fort Selden was a territorial fort built in 1865 on the Rio Grande, home of the famous Buffalo Soldiers. General Douglas McArthur spent several years here as a child, when his father was commanding officer. The visitor center has numerous exhibits depicting life at the fort.

Leasburg Dam was built in 1908, channeling water from the Rio Grande to irrigate the Mesilla Valley. A 140-acre park is a popular destination for camping, picnicking and bird watching as well as fishing, canoeing and kayaking.
