Gallup Attractions

The town of Gallup is located in the northwest region of New Mexico, between the Navajo and Zuni reservations. The are numerous attractions and events in and around Gallup such as Tribal Indian Ceremonials and the Red Rock Balloon Rally.
Fort Wingate
Southeast of Gallup is Fort Wingate, established in 1860 and closed in 1992.
Gallup Cultural Center
Housed within a restored train depot, the Gallup Cultural Center presents Southwestern American Indian history through photographs, ancient pottery and a film about tribal cultures.

Red Rock State Park
Red Rock State Park, north of Gallup in western New Mexico, is the venue, annually in August, of the Intertribal Indian Ceremonial, which is attended by members of 50 different tribes from all over the United States, Canada and Mexico.
