El Morro National Monument Description
To the west of Albuquerque is the El Morro National Monument, a sandstone cliff over 200ft/60m high topped by a pueblo with pre- Columbian rock drawings. There are also later inscriptions by Spanish conquistadors, including Don Juan de Ocate in 1605.

A visitor center has exhibits on the history of the area.
