Canjilon Ranger District

Below the Trout Lakes on the Rio Chama are the Canjilon Lakes, part of the Canjilon Ranger District of the Carson National Forest.

The 50,300-acre Chama River Canyon Wilderness is part of both the Canjilon Ranger District of the Carson National Forest and the Coyote Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest. Occupying a six-mile segment of the Chama River, the canyon is flanked by colorful sandstone bluffs.

The Trout Lakes are part of the Canjilon Ranger District of the Carson National Forest, located on the Rio Chama near Abiquiu.
