Canjilon Ranger District
The Canjilon Ranger District is one of seven ranger districts in the Carson National Forest, administered from the town of Canjilon. The primary recreational opportunities in the Canjilon area are hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting.

The 50,300-acre Chama River Canyon Wilderness is part of both the Canjilon Ranger District of the Carson National Forest and the Coyote Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest. Occupying a six-mile segment of the Chama River, the canyon is flanked by colorful sandstone bluffs.
