Point Pleasant Beach Attractions

Unami Indians spent spring and summer collecting shells and fish along the coast of what is now known as Point Pleasant Beach. The first European settlers arrived in the 1700s. Farming and boat building were common occupations until the mid-1800s when the area developed into a seaside community.

Today Point Pleasant Amusement Area and recreation on Manasquan River are highlights!
