Holmdel is one of the oldest communities in Monmouth County. It was settled by the Holmes family in the mid-1600s. The Holmes-Henrickson House was built in 1754 and is an example of local Dutch building traditions.
Longstreet Farm recreates rural life on a general farm in the 1890s. Costumed interpreters participate in plowing, planting, cooking, and cleaning as well as other daily activities.
The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial was built to honor those New Jersey residents who served during the Vietnam War.
The Vietnam Era Educational Center is the first of its kind in the United States. The materials and exhibits help visitors understand the significance of the Memorial, the reality of conflict, and numerous complex issues during of the war years.
