Elizabeth Attractions

The land that includes Elizabeth was sold to John Bailey, Daniel Denton and Luke Watson by the Indians of Staten Island in 1664. The city suffered greatly during the Revolution but several pre-Revolutionary War buildings still stand today.

Elizabeth is home to Jersey Gardens, New Jersey's largest outlet mall, the Ritz Theatre and the Art Deco Hersh Tower.
Boxwood Hall State Historic Site
The house, also known as Boudinot Mansion, was built in the 1750s. It was the resident of Elias Boudinot, president of the Continental Congress and signer of the Treaty of Peace with Great Britain.
