Wolfeboro Attractions

Wolfeboro (pop. 6,000) is a lake port and summer resort located beside Lake Winnipesaukee. The trend towards summer homes in this area began when Gov. John Wentworth of Massachusetts built his summer residence here in 1768.
Clark House Museum Complex
The Clark House Museum Complex in Wolfeboro includes the 1820 Pleasant Valley School, the Colonial style Clark House, and the Monitor Engine Co. Firehouse Museum, which is a replica of an 1862 firehouse. Each building contains historical furnishings of equipment.
E Stanley Wright Museum
The E Stanley Wright Museum in Wolfeboro features memorabilia of American life from 1939 to 1945. The collection includes vehicles, equipment, clothing, music, film clips, periodicals and other items.
