Rumney Attractions
Rumney is a small town located at the southern edge of the White Mountain National Forest. Rumney was originally granted to a group of settlers from Connecticut in 1761 but some failed to comply with the charter so the town was regranted to another group of settlers in 1767.
D Acres is an organic farm and educational center that offers workshops and other farm-based educational opportunties. New Hampshire made products such as woodcrafts, baked goods and farm products are also produced.
Visitors to D Acres can tour the organic gardens, hike the forest trails, visit with the farm animals and learn about alternative energy systems.
