Derry Attractions

Located southeast of Manchester in Rockingham County, Derry (pop. 34,000) was once a major linen manufacturing center. The town features a number of historic homes. Also of note in the area is the Taylor Up and Down Sawmill which operated until 1865. Occasionally during the summer months demonstrations are given of this water powered mill.

Metamorphosis Children's Museum (closed)
ATTRACTION IS CLOSED.

The Children's Metamorphosis Museum in Londonderry features hands-on educational and entertaining displays for children. Some themes feature workplace environments, such as a construction site, grocery store, and hospital, as well as play areas.
Robert Frost Farm
The poet Robert Frost lived on this 64 acre farm near Derry between 1900 and 1911 and provided inspiration for many of his works. The farm features period furnishings, personal items and videotapes with readings of his works. There is a short poetry nature trail on the grounds.
