The city of Henderson is generally considered a suburb of fast growing Las Vegas. The city originally grew up around the Basic Magnesium Plant but when the plant closed in the mid 20th Century, a majority of the residents moved away. In the mid 1950s Henderson began to grow and has since become Nevada's second largest city.
The Clark County Heritage Museum located in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson is a treasure trove of local history. On the museum grounds visitors are treated to seven different buildings and sections including the Heritage House, Donald Reynolds Printshop, Mobile America, Beckley House, Esslinger Barn, Giles/Barcus House, and the Boulder City Depot. All attractions are included with the price of one admission.

Chocolate lovers take note! The Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden located in Henderson, a suburb of Las Vegas, is a great place to get your fix. However, the chocolates are not the only attraction, the botanical cactus garden is well worth a look. Spread out over 350 acres, this grove of interesting species of cacti will be sure to prick your interest.
