Hasselt Attractions
The Hanseatic town of Hasselt, north of Zwolle, received its municipal charter in 1252. It was mainly of importance as a port for the shipment of Bentheim stone.

Grote Kerk or St Stephanuskerk
The Grote Kerk or St Stephanuskerk in Hasselt, a Late Gothic hall-church, was built between 1380 and 1466. The spire was added in 1725.
Town Hall
Hasselt's Late Gothic Town Hall (Stadhuis), with red and white dormer windows and a stepped gable, was built in 1500. The handsome Council Chamber has a collection of pictures and weapons.
