Hasselt Attractions

 
The Hanseatic town of Hasselt, north of Zwolle, received its municipal charter in 1252. It was mainly of importance as a port for the shipment of Bentheim stone.

There are a number of historical buildings in Hasselt including St Quentin's Cathedral, the market and the Virga Jesse Basilica.
