Doetinchem Attractions

Doetinchem, east of Arnhem, was during the Middle Ages the only Hanseatic town on the Oude IJssel. Rebuilt after its destruction during the Second World War, it has taken on a fresh lease of life as the industrial center of the Achterhoek area.
There are three windmills in Doetinchem and two castles, De Kelder and Slangenburg.
Doetincham - Grote Kerk or St Catharinakerk
Doetincham's main features of interest are the Grote Kerk or St Catharinakerk, a Gothic hall-church of the 14th-16th centuries, and the wall windmill on the IJsselkai, now occupied by the tourist information office (VVV).
