Berg en Bos
Apeldoorn's most beautiful park, Berg en Bos, an area of natural woodland, lies on the Wilslaan. In summer there are magnificent illuminations here.
In the park is the Apenheul, an enclosed area of 300 hectares/750 acres in which monkeys live in freedom among the visitors, in conditions designed to resemble their natural habitat.
Other fine parks are the Oranjepark, the oldest of Apeldoorn's parks, and the Wilhelminapark.
