Located about 30 minutes north of Roanoke Virginia and 15 minutes south of Lexington, Natural Bridge Zoo offers a wide variety of animals. Their program for rare and endangered species allows visitors to see many animals that may not be available in other facilities. Many of the zoo animals are bottle fed from birth which creates closer, more friendly encounters. The zoo maintains wide open regions that offer the maximum in up close experiences.
Visitors can feed a herd of Giraffe, get an elephant ride, take a walk on the wild side with llamas, goats, donkeys, camels, tigers, bears, cougars, servals, zebras, baboons, gibbons, lemurs, macaques, macaws, cranes, flamingos, deer, pigs, alligators, snakes, turtles, and many more. Occasional photo opporunities are available with specific baby animals such as bears and tigers.
