Chao Pu Khun Dan

The way to the Wang Takrai Park passes the Chao Po Khun Dan rock temple, named after one of the close confidants of King Naresuen (1590-1605). Several gilded Buddhas stand under a rock wall. The gold was donated by the local people to show their gratitude to Chao Po Khun Dan, whom they believe is the guardian spirit of the mountains.
