Munich - Jugendstil Buildings

Numerous fine examples of Munich Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) still survive in Schwabing, some of them painstakingly restored. Among the most notable are the Pacelli-Palais (Georgenstr. 8), built by Josef Hölzle in 1881, the Palais Bissing (Georgenstr. 10) designed by E. R. Fiechter, the Romeis buildings in Schackstrasse (Nos. 1, 2 and 4), the houses by Henry Helbig and Ernst Haiger in Ainmillerstrasse (No. 22) and Römerstrasse (No. 11), and the house built by Johann Lang at Belgradstr. 22/24.
There are also beautiful Jugendstil houses in Franz-Joseph-Strasse, Kaiserstrasse and Isabellastrasse.
