Fort Nonsense
Fort Nonsense was the site of activity in May 1777, soldiers dug trenches and raised embankments. George Washington ordered the crest fortified as it strategically overlooked the town. It became known as Fort Nonsense because of a later legend that it had been built only to keep the troops occupied.

Historical Museum and Library
Located at the rear of Washington's headquarters, the Morristown Museum has items that relate to the 1779-80 encampment, historical objects, documents and military weapons. The library has over 40,000 manuscripts and over 20,000 printed works dealing with Colonial and Revolutionary eras.
Jockey Hollow
Jockey Hollow contains sites occupied by the Continental Army. Five reconstructed soldiers' huts are available - the army used timber in the area to construct log huts and provide the necessary firewood. A wildlife sanctuary and hiking trails are also found here.

Washington's Headquarters (Ford Mansion)
The Ford Mansion is a restored Georgian style home built for Colonel Jacob Ford Jr. The home became Washington's Headquarters during the winter of 1779-80.
Wick House
Wick House was used by General Arthur St. Clair as his headquarters during the winter encampment of 1779-80. Henry Wick owned this successful farm with over 800 acres of timberland and open fields. His home became a central command point during the encampment of 10,000 soldiers.
