Larache Attractions
Larache is famous as being the site of Lixus where, according to legend, Hercules gathered the golden apples, the 11th of his tasks. The most remarkable remains are the temple, the theater, the acropolis and the baths.

Archeological Museum
The Archeological Museum of Larache is housed in what was the palace of Sultan Youssef Abdelhak el Merini between 1258 and 1281. Later the palace was used by the Spanish for state occasions. The views are magnificent. The museum contains historic artifacts relating to Moroccan tradition including ancient coins, fishing equipment, musical instruments, statues, jewelry and perfume bottles.
