Chefchaouen Attractions

Chefchaouen is said to be one of the most pleasant towns in all Morocco. It is a holy city, with some 20 mosques and sanctuaries where thousands of people participate in a pilgrimage each year. It is particularly known for its bright low houses and their tiled roofs, and blue and white painted structures. It was founded in 1471.

The town is a carpet making and weaving center with an active marketplace.
