Description
The Emy-Lou Biedenharn Foundation complex in Monroe contains the Bible Museum, the Biedenharn Home and Elsong Gardens and Conservatory. The nondenominational museum has a collection of historic Bibles including a 1560 Geneva Bible, a 1568 Bishop's Bible and a 1611 King James Bible. The Biendenharn home was built in 1914 by Joseph Biedenharn, the first bottler of Coca-Cola. Exhibits include china, crystal, silver and Coca-Cola memorabilia. ELsong Gardens, designed in 1946, was named after Biedenharn's daughter Emy-Lou.
