Moncton Museum

 
The Moncton Museum's mission is to "collect, conserve, study, exhibit and interpret historic and heritage material of Moncton and the surrounding area" and they do a great job of executing against their mission. On display at this fine museum is the history of Moncton.

The Moncton Museum is partly housed in the Free Meeting House, Moncton's oldest building built in 1821. The Moncton Museum has a permanent collection related to the area's history and includes an interesting section on the original inhabitants, the Micmacs. The Moncton museum also hosts several international travelling exhibits on a regular basis throughout the year, be sure to check the website for more information.
