Modena - Este Picture Gallery

(Local Name: Galleria Estense) The Este Picture Gallery in Modena is famous for its large collection of early Emilian and Tuscan art, including 15th century pictures of the Po plain, as well as Modena art of the 15th century, with works by Correggio, Dosso Dossi, Titian, Tintoretto, Guercino, Veronese, Velaàzques, Giovanni di Paolo, Bassano, Domenichino, Strozzi, Rosa, Guardi and other artists. Other terracottas by Begarelli can be seen in the church of San Francesco, near the southwest corner of the old town, and in the church of San Pietro (1476), in the southeast of the old town.
