Description
(Local Name: Biblioteca Estense) On the first floor the Museo Civico del Risorgimento in Modena contains the Biblioteca Estense, with more than 380,000 volumes, 1,640 incunabula and a valuable collection of manuscripts. Particularly notable is a 15th century Bible which belonged to Borso d'Este, with more than a thousand pages illustrated by French artists, and the "Sphaera", a masterpiece of Lombardian miniature painting.

The second floor contains several collections: the Museo Civico (archeology and ethnology), the Museo Estense, with medallions, terracotta sculpture, statuettes, porcelain, musical instruments, etc. and the Galleria Estense.
