Chateau at Mnichovo Hradiste
The Chateau at Mnichovo Hradiste gained its present form the late 17th Century when it was rebuilt by the Italian architect, Marcus Antonius Canevalle. It is a symmetrical design with three wings, sometimes referred in laymen's terms as an E layout.
The chapel on the grounds is the burial place of Albrecht von Wallenstein (Valdstejn) the famous warrior from the Thirty Years War.

There are three tours available, each highlighting different sections of the Mnichovo Hradiste Chateau.
Displays of note are the world famous collection of Delft pottery and porcelain miniatures of Japanese and Chinese origin. The grounds of the chateau are quite pleasant and feature unusual trees and plants not native to the Czech Republic.
