International Falls Attractions

International Falls is located at the entrance to Voyageurs National Park on the northern border of Minnesota between the United States and Canada. Opportunities for fishing, boating, hiking, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing are available.

International Falls is a popular little town with sportsmen and cottagers. People from all over the state and other parts of the country come here during the summer months to enjoy beautiful Rainy Lake. The town is known for having hot summers and extremely cold winters. International Falls carries the slogan "Ice Box of the Nation" with winter temperatures dipping down to the -40°F (-40°C) range.

The town is a border town, where visitors can easily cross into Canada. Some visitors simply cross for the day for a quick visit to another country and return again to "The Falls", as is it commonly called.
