International Falls Attractions
International Falls is located at the entrance to Voyageurs National Park on the northern border of Minnesota between the United States and Canada. Opportunities for fishing, boating, hiking, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing are available.
International Falls is a popular little town with sportsmen and cottagers. People from all over the state and other parts of the country come here during the summer months to enjoy beautiful Rainy Lake. The town is known for having hot summers and extremely cold winters. International Falls carries the slogan "Ice Box of the Nation" with winter temperatures dipping down to the -40°F (-40°C) range.
The town is a border town, where visitors can easily cross into Canada. Some visitors simply cross for the day for a quick visit to another country and return again to "The Falls", as is it commonly called.

Voyageurs National Park
Voyageurs National Park is headquartered near International Falls, Minnesota. With over 218,000 acres of boreal forest with over 30 lakes dotted with roughly 1,000 islands, the park offers many opportunities for boating, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and much more. It takes its name from the French-Canadian voyageurs who travelled through the area by canoe nearly two hundred years ago.

Boise Cascade Tours
Visitors to International Falls can tour the Boise Cascade paper mill which offers demonstrations of each step in the papermaking process from pulp to packaging.
Grand Mound Interpretive Center
The Grand Mound Interpretive Center near International Falls is home to a prehistoric burial mound. It was formed by the Laurel Indians of the middle woodland people who lived in the upper great lakes area from 200 BC to 800 AD. The center features early American Indian artifacts and a wildlife exhibit.
Koochiching County Historical Museum
The Koochiching County Historical Museum is located in Smokey Bear Park. It is home to Indian, gold rush, logging, homesteading, and farming artifacts. The adjoining Bronko Nagurski Museum commemorates the NFL legend and International Falls' most famous son.
