Glenwood Attractions
Glenwood (pop. 2,600) is a popular vacation and fishing destination as well as a supply point, located on the banks of Lake Minnewaska. The north shore of the lake has American Indian mounds and burial grounds.
The Minnesota DNR Division of Fisheries and Wildlife features ponds of trout can be seen, with the walleye hatching period from mid-April to mid-May.
The Pope County Historical Museum features Helbing Indian, American Indian artifacts and pioneer relics, including replicas of a blacksmith's shop, trapper's cabin and an Indian camp.
