Milwaukee County War Memorial Complex

Milwaukee Art Museum
The recently remodeled Milwaukee Art Museum was built in 1888. It houses more than 20,000 works from antiquity to present, including early European, American, modern and contemporary, prints and drawings, photography, Asian, African, and Haitian collections.

The museum is part of the Milwaukee County War Memorial Complex.

Charles Allis Art Museum
To the north of the War Memorial, the Charles Allis Art Museum has more American and European art from the 19th and 20th centuries, exhibited in the rooms of a Tudor-style villa built in 1911, with windows by Louis C. Tiffany.
Also on display is antique furniture. The museum occasionally hosts traveling exhibits and puts on special events.

Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum
The Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum was built in the style of an Italian Renaissance villa in 1923. Highlights include fine and decorative arts from the 15th through the 18th centuries, wrought-iron masterpieces by Cyril Colnik, a Renaissance Garden, and other changing exhibitions.
