On the grounds of the Bernard Historical Museum are seven buildings housing a collection of over 25,000 artifacts. The main building was originally built in the early 1930's and served as a hospital for Dr. Prosper G. Bernard. He converted it, after his retirement, into the present museum. Some of the other buildings are Brown School built in 1873, the replica 1880's Country Store and the Seamstress Cottage, built in the 1870's.
Exhibits at the Bernard Historical Museum include clothing, a toy collection, stone and sea shell collections, telephone switch boards, and an Indian dug out.
