Bay City is a major distribution point for industry and agriculture. Shipping and commerce have been the foundation of Bay City since 1900, which was the demise of the lumber industry.
The development of Bay County is displayed through period rooms, and exhibits that pertain to agriculture, American Indian culture, the fur trade, lumber and shipbuilding.
