Yautepec, Mexico
Yautepec (population 10,000; fiesta: first Friday in Lent, Entierro del Malhumor = Grave of the Bad Mood) lies about 15km/9.3mi south of Tepoztlán. The fortress-like Dominican convent was founded in the mid-16th c. by Lorenzo de la Asunción. An open chapel, an atrium cross and ruins of a small processional chapel (posa) can also be seen.
