(Local Name: Palacio de los Jaguares) The Palace of the Jaguars (Palacio de los Jaguares) adjoins the Palace of the Quetzal Butterfly and has many remarkable early wall-paintings, which include depictions of predatory cats with human heads and jaguars blowing into shells. On a frieze symbols of the rain god and the year can still be made out.
