The Dominican convent has a church dating from 1546 with a remarkable main façade which is predominantly Plateresque. Medallions typical of this style, niches for figures and a Gothic rose-window can be seen above the doorway. It is possible to detect here a trace of the approaching strong Herreriano style. The façade of the side portal is similar in style, without niches. Inside the church there is a large Churrigueresque altar, an interesting arch in the presbytery, an attractive door to the choir and a beautifully carved pulpit. Near the church stand the remains of a once-impressive Gothic open chapel. The convent lies in ruins.

Nearby archaeologists have found a Late Classical pre-Columbian site and a large number of tombs.
