Mexico City - Polyforum Siqueiros

In the hotel grounds, on Calle Filadelfia, stands the very modern Polyforum Siqueiros, a twelve-sided mushroom-like edifice built in 1965-69 and designed by José David Siqueiros (1886-1974), who was also responsible for the "plastic" mural, "The March of Mankind", in the large egg-shaped hall inside. Regular son et lumière shows are given in this hall which emphasise the effect of this painting which covers an area of 2400 sq. m (26,000 sq. ft). The building also includes a theatre, conference and exhibition halls and sale-rooms for arts and crafts.
Address: Polyforum Siqueiros, Mexico City, Federal District (Distrito Federal) , Mexico
