Lower Meuse Valley

A little further upstream on the river Samson from Goyet lies Faulx-les-Tombes with an 18th C. castle.

The Meuse describes a broad loop to the south at the vertex of which the little river Samson joins the main stream. In its picturesque valley can be found the grottos of Goyet with impressive drip stone formations. In one part of the caves, which were inhabited by prehistoric peoples, there is a representation of their way of life.
