Messina - Viale San Martino / Marine Station

From the Marine Station on the south side of the harbor it is a short distance west to the north end of Messina's main street, Viale San Martino, which cuts through the southern part of the city. In 400m/440yd it crosses the tree-shaded Piazza Cairoli, Messina's busiest traffic intersection, and in another 1.5km/1mi it joins the spacious Piazza Dante.
