Mechelen - Town Hall Stadhuis
The southeast of the market square is occupied by the Stadhuis which consists of two parts. On the right is the Lakenhalle (cloth hall), built in 1320-1326 according to the models of the halls of Bruges and renewed after a fire in 1342. The central building is flanked by two turrets and over the Gothic doorway is the base of a bell tower which, however, was never completed.
