Penken

From Mayrhofen there is an easy but rewarding trip to the Penken (2,095m/6,874ft), to the west of the town - either by cableway and then 1.25 hours' climb to the Gschösswand or on foot all the way (2.75 hours). From the summit a ridge walk of 4 to 4.5 hours brings the walker to the Rastkogel (2,762m/9,062ft).
