Mauritzköpfl

From Maurach the Rofan cable railroad (2,246m/7,369ft long) runs up to the Erfurter Hütte (1,834m/4,541ft; inn), on the Mauritzköpfl. From here there are magnificent views and good walking and climbing - up the Hochiss (2,299m/7,543ft: 1.5 hours), the Rofanspitze (2,260m/7,415ft: 1.75 hours) and the Vorderes Sonnwendjoch (2,224m/7,297ft: 2.5-3 hours). In winter a trip down from the Rofanspitze into the Inn valley at Wiesing is most impressive.
