Gardner Attractions
Gardner is located in north central Massachusetts. The town is known as a major furniture manufacturing center. Gardner is also home to Dunn Pond State Park, Gardner Heritage State Park, and Lake Wampanoag Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Gardner Museum is housed in the Levi Heywood Memorial Library building, built in 1886. The Richardson Romanesque architecture and stained glass windows are notable features of the museum.
A major collection at the Gardner Museum is the chair and furniture display as well as numerous catalogs and photographs from the furniture industry.
