Attleboro is located southwest of Boston and the main industry is manufacturing. The town is home to the LaSalette Shrine whose Christmas light display is credited as being one of the most spectacular in New England.
Attleboro Area Industrial Museum
The Attleboro Area Industrial Museum displays artifacts relating to area industries and families. The Industrial museum is housed in the location of the Attleboro Refining Company, which began in 1889.
Attleboro Museum (Center for the Arts)
The Attleboro Museum features galleries with 14 foot ceilings and movable walls highlighting visual and performing arts from amateur and professional artists.
Capron Park Zoo
Capron Park Zoo in Attleboro offers a variety of native and exotic animals from around the world. Some of the exhibits feature a Nocturnal House, African wildlife, Tropical Rainforest and Australian animals.
