Attleboro is located southwest of Boston and the main industry is manufacturing. The town is home to the LaSalette Shrine whose Christmas light display is credited as being one of the most spectacular in New England.
The Attleboro Area Industrial Museum displays artifacts relating to area industries and families. The Industrial museum is housed in the location of the Attleboro Refining Company, which began in 1889.

Capron Park Zoo in Attleboro offers a variety of native and exotic animals from around the world. Some of the exhibits feature a Nocturnal House, African wildlife, Tropical Rainforest and Australian animals.
