Description
Pleasure of a special kind is afforded by the two-hour tour of the Granada film studios, which were opened in 1988 and are situated to the northwest of the Museum of Science and Industry. This glimpse of the fascinating world of film and television includes a visit to the properties store, cutting room and various sets (e.g. those for 10, Downing Street and the House of Commons in London, the former Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, Sherlock Holmes' residence at 221b Baker Street and those used for the popular television series, "Coronation Street") as well as various cinematic presentations, including 3D films.
