Poland Spring - Maine State Building Attractions
The Maine State Building is a Victorian-style building that was built for the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Following the close of the exposition this building, one of three standing after a fire swept through the area, was bought by Hiram Ricker & Sons. Ricker had the structure taken apart and rebuilt in Poland Spring. The site features artifacts related to the Poland Springs Resort before it was destroyed in 1975 by fire.

It is constructed of granite and features stained glass windows, quartered oak for the ceilings and doors, marble for the font, pulpit, and mop boards, brass sills and railings, inlaid mosaic on the floor, and houses a 1926 Skinner pipe organ.
