Mersch Attractions

 
The town of Mersch (pop. 6,300) is a crossroads for many of the tourist routes in the center of the country. It is situated at the entrance to the Valley of the Seven Castles. There are many walks through wooded areas highlighting beautiful scenery. Points of interest in and around Mersch include: the springs of Hunnebour, the prehistoric caves of the Mamer and Dreibouren, the remains of a Roman villa, an early feudal castle (free admission: open year round), St Michael's tower with carillon, a church and the Centenary Column. Mersch also has an all-weather swimming pool.
