Medernach is located in the valley of the White Ernz. A former agricultural village, it has taken on a more industrial role. The church was rebuilt in 1806 with a magnificent Baroque altar dating back to 1700. There is a monument to the ninth U.S. Armored Division which defended the village during the Battle of the Bulge.
