Diekirch Attractions

Diekirch (pop. 5,600) was the starting place for the development of Luxembourg tourism, thanks to the hotelkeeper A. Heck. Diekirch is a tourism center due in part to its geographical location between the Oesling wilderness and the Good Land near the capital city. Diekirch has an old church from the 15th century built on Roman foundations; Roman mosaics, fountains, notable houses and lanes; the Old Diekirch quarter and the Battle of the Bulge Museum.

Other points of interest include: a municipal museum, folklore and sporting events, monuments and entertainment. There are bicycle rentals for touring this peaceful region.
